D.M. HARRIS PARK |
|
In 1982 the City of Dunlap leased this parcel of property from the D.M. Harris heirs for 100 years, to be established into a city park. The property had been in the Harris family since 1915, with Mr. D.M. Harris the 1st Mayor for the City of Dunlap. After leasing the property the city established a Park Board and began to look for funding. In 1995 the City applied for a grant to beautify the facility, but were denied due to the fact that they were not the owners of the property. In July of 1996 members of the Park Board met with Ms. Addie Lou Harris, with Ms. Harris agreeing to donate and deed over the property to the City in Memory of Mr. Harris, which this monument represents. |

Jarrell which can be scheduled for picnics and reunions. |

No park could be complete without a place for the little ones. This playground was donated by Dr. Barry Wagner in Honor of his father Mayor George Wagner for his many years of service to the City of Dunlap and the community. |
