Desiring Water Service

   The Dunlap Water System Office's are located at City Hall, 23 Rankin Avenue South. Office hours are 7:00 am to 4:00 pm cst., the telephone number is 949.2115.  The first thing required for water service is a meter deposit. These will vary dependent upon if a person is renting or owns their residence. If a customer owns the residence the deposit is $25.00, if the customer is renting a deposit of  $100.00 is required. This deposit is refundable after an account is closed and the final bill is paid. If payment is not paid in full the deposit will be applied to the unpaid balance of the bill.

"New" Water Service

     If an individual desires a new service, he or she must come by the office to set up an appointment with the water distribution superintendent to discuss the service. The installation of new service shall conform to the Rules and Regulations adopted by the System. If inside the City Limits, a building permit must be approved before water service can be installed.

Billing

    The billing for the System is mailed the first of each month. Payments must be made by the 12th of each month to avoid penalty. All accounts are due payable on the first of each month without a penalty. All amounts due must be paid in full by the 22nd of each month. If full amount can not be paid, a payment extension agreement must be signed before the closing on the 22nd of each month. All unpaid accounts will be placed in the disconnect process on the 23rd of each month. Once in this process, the full paid balance and the applicable service fee must be paid in order to continue water service. 

Transfer of Service

    The transfer of water service to another location can be done at the office. A new customer card will be filled out and a $20.00 transfer fee will be required.

Service Disconnection

    Your service may be disconnected by completing the necessary form at City Hall. You need an exact date for disconnection and to give a final mailing address. Please have a current telephone number ready where you can be reached.

Sanitation Fee

The City of Dunlap requires all water customers inside the city limits to pay a sanitation fee. Each customer will receive one cart at a cost of $10.00. Customers may request a second cart for additional sanitation fee. Any business or residence that requires more than (2) carts must contract dumpster service with BFI.
